The Crisis Call Center provides separate 24/7 hotlines for suicide prevention, child abuse reporting, elder abuse reporting, substance abuse, and other resources.

Adolescent Services provides assistance for youth (ages 10-17) who need help with school or home problems because of any one of the following issues:
•Delinquent charges
•Warrants
•Mental health emergencies
•Alcohol/illegal substance issues
•Running away
•Chronic truancy
•Family conflict
•Being beyond the control of the parent

Assistance can involve:


•Working with Thompson and Poudre School Districts
•Completing on-site drug and alcohol evaluations on open cases
•Mediation or counseling for families
•Youth Services programs for youth in the delinquent court system
•Chafee Foster Care Independence Program for children transitioning out of foster care

FAMILY SUPPORT

Matthews House Fort Collins

The Matthews House is a community center in Fort Collins that provides help for teens 16-21 who are transitioning into adulthood without adequate adult support. Many of these teens have been part of the juvenile justice system or have lived in foster care. The Matthews House also provides assistance for families struggling with parenting, money management, job readiness, and healthy relationships.

The Hub

The Hub is an agency of Larimer County that provides child protection screening, child and family assessments for at-risk youth, detention screening, early intervention for unhealthy family environments, and individual or family counseling. The Hub has an office in Larimer County and is on call 24/7, providing free services for families.

Fort Collins Child Protection Services

Fort Collins Child Protective Services is made up of community members who review referrals about cases of child abuse in Larimer County. The team serves children who are subject to abuse and neglect, abandoned, whose parents have been arrested or cannot pay for medical care, or who are otherwise in need of emergency care. This office handles foster care or other temporary situations.

The Child Advocacy Center is committed to educating the community about child abuse and how to report cases of abuse, providing emotional and physical support for abused children and other family members, and helping families find the right resources after child abuse happens.

ChildSafe Colorado

is Northern Colorado’s only comprehensive outpatient treatment program for child and adult victims of childhood abuse, primarily sexual abuse, and their non-offending family members. This organization does not turn away individuals based on financial means, and provides services in Child Sexual Abuse Treatment, Therapy for Adults Molested as Children, parenting classes, and other treatments and resources.

is a resource for teens who have been affected by friends or family members with drinking problems. Alateen offers focus groups, advice on coping, and connections among teens dealing with similar problems.

The National Alcohol and Substance Abuse Information Center (NASAIC)

The NASAIC offers support for anyone struggling with addiction to alcohol and drugs, or for anyone with a friend or family member battling substance abuse. The center also offers specialized programs by profession, religion, gender, and other specialized needs.

DrugRehab.com provides support for those dealing with addiction, and in an effort to raise awareness about substance abuse and addiction, the organization has created a guide that they feel every parent should have in order to educate themselves, as well as their children about this issue.

HOMELESSNESS AND RUNAWAYS

This hotline is available for children and teens thinking about running away from home or who have friends or family members contemplating running away. The hotline is also open to any children, teens, parents, teachers, or other people who have questions about runaways or child homelessness.
