A Timberline College Volunteer Leader is someone with a heart for Jesus and for college students. We’re looking for people from many different walks of life including: parents, grandparents, young professionals, etc. This is more than just chaperoning an event. We want people who will seek out 3-7 specific students they will be present in the lives of. This looks like: mentoring, friendship, prayer, support, encouragement, and shepherding.
The time commitment for this position is every Tuesday from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., leader meeting every other week from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., once a month dinner 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., relational investment in students - two to four hours per week outside of Tuesday.
This position is for you if you're passionate about Jesus and College students.
Skills that are helpful for this position include patience, faith, teach-ability, desire and ability to see potential in others, consistency, relational pursuit, listening, and tact.
Passing a background check will be needed to serve in this position.
