Turning around a ‘trap-question’ from the Pharisees, Jesus teaches his people about the most intimate of relationships from God’s point of view. In fact, Jesus continues using all kinds of object lessons to show his people kingdom values and that everything is far richer by his hand than our own!

This weekend, Pastor Jeff looks at one of the most challenging passages in the new Testament, as Jesus talks about divorce, as well as the way we treat people who don’t seem important to us. Finally, we will consider God’s wonderful offer of salvation to us all-the gift that we could never earn, but only receive with joy!

Infighting can be so easy to do because these people are closest to us (and have the tendency to cause friction). But Jesus continues to lead his disciples - then and now - in a way that addresses what we should really be opposing - SIN. Take your own sin seriously and continue to lean into Kingdom connection with one another.

There is a battle underway for the souls of all people. It is critical that the Church stand together in love and preserving the peace in order to reach others with the life and love of Jesus.

Amidst the disciples' struggle to position themselves as the greatest of Jesus followers, Jesus continues to retrain their minds and hearts based on Kingdom principles. One cannot be great in the Kingdom without lifting others up ahead of themselves (and no one did this more than Jesus himself).
