But Jesus continues to lead his disciples - then and now - in a way that addresses what we should really be opposing - SIN. Take your own sin seriously and continue to lean into Kingdom connection with one another.

There is a battle underway for the souls of all people. It is critical that the Church stand together in love and preserving the peace in order to reach others with the life and love of Jesus.
Amidst the disciples' struggle to position themselves as the greatest of Jesus followers, Jesus continues to retrain their minds and hearts based on Kingdom principles. One cannot be great in the Kingdom without lifting others up ahead of themselves (and no one did this more than Jesus himself).
