The head usher leads by example with an "I'll go first" mentality, is the primary contact for the other ushers, does the scheduling for each service, ensures team is loved and cared for. The head usher ensures that the proper money handling procedures are followed and works with both the greeter and security teams.
The time commitment is one - two hours on the weekends (as needed) and approximately two hours at home/church (as needed).
The volunteer for this position should be passionate about making Timberline Church in Windsor a welcoming and inviting space for all. Serving and encouraging those who serve.
Skills needed include an ability to relate and interact positively with love and respect to all people, attention to detail, commitment to procedures, the ability to lead and teach others to do the same and some basic computer skills.
A background check is required, and volunteer should have access to a computer.
