SAINT Volunteer Transportation - Volunteer Driver

Adult, NoCo Community
Fort Collins

SAINT Volunteer Drivers use their own vehicles to provide free rides for seniors and adults with disabilities in Fort Collins and Loveland within our defined boundaries. Volunteers pick up riders at their homes, drive them to appointments, errands, or social activities, and then bring them safely back home.

Drivers choose the shifts that fit their schedule—whether it's a regular weekly shift or filling in as needed—and receive ride details through our easy-to-use scheduling system. Each ride offers not just transportation, but companionship and connection.

Volunteer drivers typically serve one 4-hour shift per week (morning or afternoon), Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Shifts tend to be 8am-12pm or 10am-2pm or 12pm-4pm. Shifts are flexible — you choose the days and times that work best for your schedule. Some volunteers drive regularly each week, while others fill in as needed.

Volunteers should have a heart for people and a desire to make a difference in their community.  The volunteer should have a passion for helping seniors and adults with disabilities stay independent, connected, and cared for is essential.

Volunteers should have a safe driving record, a reliable vehicle, and enjoy engaging with people. Good communication skills, patience, and dependability are important, as well as a caring attitude toward seniors and adults with disabilities.

You don't need special training — just a valid Colorado driver's license, , clean driving record, auto insurance, and a willingness to lend a hand (and a few miles) to someone who needs a ride.

Must pass a criminal background check.
