SAINT Volunteer Transportation - Rider Support Volunteer

This position includes answering incoming phone calls and assisting riders with questions or ride requests, communication with drivers and staff to help resolve scheduling needs, and providing friendly, patient, and professional support to riders throughout the day.

Shifts are typically two to four hours (morning or afternoon), Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Volunteers can serve weekly or as available — flexible scheduling is welcome!

Volunteers in this role should have a heart for serving others and a passion for helping people feel cared for and supported.  They'll be interacting directly with seniors and adults with disabilities, often being the friendly voice that brightens someone's day or helps them solve a challenge.

The volunteer should be comfortable using the phone and basic computer tasks (email, voice over internet phone, Excel spreadsheets — training provided).  They should have good communication and problem-solving skills, patience, empathy, and a desire to help others and reliability and discretion when handling personal information.

Must pass a criminal background check.
