The purpose of this position is to promote the concept of connections whether through individual contact or addressing groups, to identify opportunities for new groups, and enable the formation and assist in finding leaders.  Also to support existing groups by encouraging participation, keeping in regular contact with group leaders, acknowledge positive involvement and address concerns to bring about resolutions, and be the point of contact to coordinate with the church for scheduling, resources, etc.

The time commitment is as needed but should not be more than a couple hours each week.

The volunteer for this position should be passionate about the necessity of connection.  

Skills needed for this position include being a good listener, conflict resolution skills, discernment to identify those with leadership potential, the ability to recognize positive practices or areas of need, compassion to understand the importance of feeling included, and a person with a commitment to follow through on responsibilities.
