A World of Access

by Madelynn Keselburg on February 11, 2026

When you hear the word ACCESS, your mind might jump to the endless amount of music we can listen to or tv shows to binge. Maybe how we have an entire aisle in the grocery store just for different cereals or how you can order almost anything and have it shipped to your door in two days. We are spoiled with access. But what does it mean to have access to the Gospel?

Imagine you do not know who is Jesus or what the Gospel is truly about besides what mainstream media has shown. You have many ways to find out about Him - Our trusted friend Google or you know a Christian you can ask. On your way to work you pass three different churches that you can go into freely and have a conversation with a pastor. You do not need to worry or fear government or religious barriers. You do not need to hide or ask in secret. The Gospel is accessible and readily available to you.

Now imagine you live in a rural village in a country where there are no known Christians. You have a dream of a man named Jesus and you want to learn more. There is no one to ask. There are no churches to go to. You cannot look him up online because it is blocked and resources you might find are not even in your own language. The Gospel is not accessible and you cannot learn more unless something is done.

As hard as it is to believe in our world of access, there is still 42% of the global population that are in the second scenario, no access to the Gospel. We call these unreached people groups. That is nearly 3.5 billion people that do not know the name of Jesus.

There is a huge task remaining of spreading the Gospel to the hardest to reach places and God invites all of us into it. Yes, even you! We each carry a thread that God can weave together to make a difference and have every tribe, nation, and tongue have access to the Gospel.

So what now? Start with praying and asking God where He is inviting you to engage.

It could look like…

  • Committing to prayer for an unreached people group that we provide below in this newsletter every month.
  • Have your small group choose a region of the world to pray for each time you meet.
  • Give of your treasures to missionaries or organizations that are on the ground sharing the Gospel among the unreached.
  • Pray about going to share the Gospel to the unreached.

The Missions Office would love to guide you and pray with you if you feel God stirring something in your heart. You can email us at
