Communion Steward

Communion, also called the Lord’s Supper or Eucharist, is a sacred Christian practice that holds deep meaning. It helps believers remember Jesus’ sacrifice, receive spiritual nourishment, express unity with other Christians, proclaim their faith, and obey Christ’s command. Through Communion, the church honors Christ, grows in faith, and comes together in worship.

The Communion Steward plays a vital role in supporting worship by assisting with the preparation and clean-up of Communion elements. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and cleaning up Communion for the Sunday Traditions service.

  • Assisting with All-Church Quarterly Communion for all four services, as well as for Good Friday.
  • Supporting Wednesday Mid-Week services by preparing and cleaning up Communion.

This position ensures that the sacrament is carried out smoothly and reverently, helping create a meaningful worship experience for the congregation.

Helpful skills for this position include a heart for serving and working well with others.
